Do you love flowers? I do. I have them growing inside and outside of my house, so much so, that my husband has no need to send me flowers for events, but for several years, what he did instead was buy me beautiful vases to put my own flowers in. Outdoors, I love roses, lilies, and just about anything else I can get to grow in my backyard. Inside, I have a weakness for tropicals—Violets, Hibiscus, Gardenias (they like the bathroom best).

I have more violets than I can keep up with, and I’m always surprised when someone says they have a hard time growing them, because mine seem to thrive with very little care (though sometimes the worst things people can do for plants is too much care...). Now, the one I stayed away from for a long time: orchids.
